To reduce crimes

These days, a lot of crimes are committed and reported everyday. What should we do to reduce crimes? There are three ideas I have, having relations with your neighbors, trying to protect yourself and punishing criminals severely. First, Having relations with your neighbors is very important to reduce crimes. Most of us have less relations with neigbors today.

    I feel sad when I hear bad news about crimes.
    I also hope to reduce and lose crimes in the future. So I sympathy with your opinion. We had better have more connection with neighbor. If we do so,we can help each other and circumstances may be better little by little.
